We are seeking a dynamic, energetic, and highly motivated individual who is passionate about the game of basketball and dedicated to the success of student-athletes both on and off the court. This full-time position plays a vital role in the overall development and competitiveness of our women’s basketball program and is heavily involved in all operational facets, with a strong emphasis on recruiting, player evaluation, compliance, and logistics.
The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying, recruiting, and evaluating prospective student-athletes who align with the mission and values of McPherson College. Compliance is also a major component of this role, requiring a thorough understanding of NAIA, KCAC, and institutional policies to ensure all program activities align with governing rules and regulations. Monitoring academic standing, eligibility, and conduct expectations is also part of this responsibility.
Additional duties include supporting the program’s fundraising efforts, assisting with alumni and community engagement, and contributing to summer camps, clinics, and campus events. The assistant coach will also perform other duties as assigned by the Head Coach or the Athletic Department.

The candidate must also be willing to travel and work evenings and weekends. Preferred qualifications include experience with film and scouting platforms such as Hudl or Synergy, demonstrated success in talent evaluation, and a commitment to the holistic development of student-athletes.
